Best of 2009 #8. Chris Murray-Audain at Mosport.

This is yet another shot from the final corner at Mosport. I got some great shots there as the riders are leaned over a fair bit and you can get really close. These shots are full frame with a 200mm lens, with only the slightest of crops for aesthetic purposes.

Best of 2009 Motorsports Images #7. Boucher at Mosport.

Another shot from the final corner at Mosport. This is of Marie Josée Boucher, who I believe is Canada’s most successful female motorcycle racer ever. She has competes at the highest level in Canada, and in 2009 she competed at the world level, entering the US Round of the Superbike World Championship at Miller Motorsports Park.

Best of 2009 Motorsports Images #6. Atlantic Amateur Champion.

Despite the bad luck he still won the 600 championship. This shot is from the exit of turn 9 at AMP, taken during the Atlantic Round of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship. Keep reading →

Best of 2009 Motorsports Images #5. Steeves at AMP.

This shot is from the inside of turn 7 at AMP. It’s one of my favourite spots to shoot at AMP. It’s the fastest corner on the track, an uphill right hander after coming off the fast back straight. I think I like it so much because it’s a challenge to get a good shot as the bikes are moving so fast there. Well in excess of 100mph. Keep reading →

Best of 2009 Motorsports Images #4. Lacombe at AMP.

I really enjoy panning shots such as this. I think it’s the challenge of getting a good panning shot, and how cool they look when you nail them. This shot was taken during the Atlantic Round of the Parts Canada Superbike Championship in August 2009. Keep reading →
